Devon County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our Front Door/Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and families, providing essential support and intervention to those in need. Your expertise will help ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals while collaborating with various agencies to deliver effective services.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting initial assessments and determining the level of risk to children and families. Collaborating with internal and external partners to develop comprehensive safeguarding plans. Providing expert advice and guidance to less experienced social workers and team members. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience working within a safeguarding or MASH environment. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a thorough understanding of child protection legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.
