Are you a dedicated and passionate social worker looking to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families? The Bedford Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker (CSW) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children within our community, ensuring that their needs are met and their voices are heard.

As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans to ensure the best outcomes for children and families. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to provide support and resources. Managing a caseload of children in need, including those on Child Protection Plans and Looked After Children. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working in children's services, with a solid understanding of child protection legislation and frameworks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to assess complex situations effectively.
