Join our dedicated team at Cheshire East as a Qualified Social Worker within the Children’s CPC (Child Protection Conference) unit. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to provide high-quality support and intervention for children and families in need. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding children and promoting their welfare, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and protective factors.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.
  • Facilitating Child Protection Conferences and ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access services.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and preparing reports for court hearings as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
