Cheshire East Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. You will play a vital role in safeguarding children, promoting their welfare, and ensuring they have the support they need to thrive.
As a Qualified Social Worker in our CP/CIN Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategies for safeguarding children.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working within a child protection or children in need setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
