Join our dedicated team in Somerset as an Advanced Practitioner in Safeguarding, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals within our community. In this position, you will be responsible for leading safeguarding assessments, developing intervention plans, and providing expert guidance to social work practitioners. Your expertise will be essential in promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify safeguarding needs and risks. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies. Providing supervision and support to junior staff, enhancing their professional development. Maintaining accurate documentation and case records in accordance with regulatory standards. Participating in training and development initiatives to stay abreast of best practices in safeguarding.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. A minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience in safeguarding or related fields. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex cases. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with service users and colleagues.
