We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team in Lambeth. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in need, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working in child protection and safeguarding
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and needs effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases efficiently

In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates must also have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
