We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment & Intervention Team in Cardiff. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting thorough assessments to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and law enforcement, to ensure holistic support for families. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with regulatory standards.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales. Demonstrated experience in child protection, assessment, and intervention within a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and stakeholders effectively. Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in complex situations. Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional codes of conduct.Additional requirements:
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the Cardiff area. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
