We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Walsall Family Safeguarding Team. As a member of this dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within the Walsall community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Undertaking assessments and investigations to identify risks and develop effective safeguarding plans Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to provide support and intervention Managing a complex caseload and ensuring timely and accurate recording of case information Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings Providing advocacy and support to families to promote positive outcomes and sustainable change

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding work within a statutory setting Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
