To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in a children’s social work setting, particularly with children in need and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention frameworks, along with a thorough understanding of legislation related to child welfare.
