As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing child-focused care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and intervention to families, ensuring that safeguarding practices are upheld.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legislation and policy.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in child safeguarding and working with vulnerable families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
