LAC/CIC - Social Worker - Liverpool

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LAC/CIC Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Liverpool. This role is crucial in supporting Looked After Children (LAC) and Children in Care (CIC) through their journey towards stability and well-being. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families, ensuring their needs are met in a supportive environment.

As a LAC/CIC Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and develop tailored care plans.
  • Building trusting relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure they are implemented effectively and adjusted as necessary.
  • Advocating for children’s rights and best interests within various settings, including schools, health services, and legal proceedings.
  • Providing emotional and practical support to children and families, including crisis intervention when required.

The successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in LAC/CIC settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
