Specialist Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Caritas Futures is proud to support a renowned charity dedicated to combating domestic violence. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Specialist Domestic Abuse Support Worker based in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Role Overview:
As a Specialist Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse. You will work 12-hour shifts on a 4 days on, 4 days off rota, providing ongoing risk assessments, individual safety planning, and both emotional and practical support to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable people.
  • Work with high-risk clients to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Conduct thorough risk and needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to provide comprehensive support.
  • Assist vulnerable adults affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, sexual abuse, housing issues, mental health challenges, homelessness, or those who are ex-offenders.

Essential Requirements:

  • A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to undergo one.
  • A deep commitment to the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 4 on / 4 off, based in Bexhill-on-Sea.
