About the Role:

Essex County Council is seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development within our residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Support residents in achieving their personal goals and promoting independence.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with council policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and rights of all residents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
  • A compassionate nature and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) are advantageous.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
