We are seeking an experienced and committed Children’s Social Worker to join a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Bromley. This is an important role focused on responding to concerns about children and young people, assessing risk, and ensuring that safeguarding needs are identified and addressed promptly. You will work alongside professionals from social care, police, health, education and other partner agencies to gather and analyse information, make sound professional decisions, and promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Your responsibilities will include screening and responding to referrals, undertaking timely information-sharing and risk assessments, contributing to strategy discussions, and determining the appropriate next steps in line with statutory guidance and local procedures. You will provide clear professional advice, maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, and ensure that children’s voices, wishes and feelings are central to all decision-making. The role also involves contributing to assessments, making recommendations regarding services or interventions, escalating safeguarding concerns where necessary, and working collaboratively with colleagues across the partnership. You will manage competing priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of practice and responding sensitively to complex situations.

Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. You should have substantial experience in children’s social care, safeguarding, referral and assessment, or a similar frontline setting, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation, statutory frameworks and evidence-based practice. Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills are essential, together with the confidence to make proportionate decisions under pressure. We are looking for a resilient, organised and reflective practitioner who can build constructive relationships with families and professionals, demonstrate professional curiosity, and contribute positively to a fast-paced, supportive and multi-disciplinary team.
