Social Worker - Cared for Children (CLA) - Knowsley
Location: Huyton, Merseyside
Rate: £39.00ph Umbrella
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2-3 days office-based)
Contract: 6 Months
Caritas Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join Knowsley's Cared for Children Service in a specialist role with a reduced caseload of just 10 children and young people.
This targeted position focuses on improving care planning, progressing outcomes and reducing delays for children in care. You will undertake bespoke direct work with children and young people, lead complex assessments and interventions, and support stable, long-term planning to help children achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Undertake care planning and statutory reviews for Looked After Children
* Lead complex assessments and outcome-focused interventions
* Support children and young people to understand their life journey and care plans
* Build purposeful relationships with children, families and carers
* Work closely with partner agencies to manage risk and improve outcomes
* Contribute to practice development and support less experienced colleagues
Requirements
* Social Work England registration
* Experience within Children Looked After/Cared for Children services
* Strong safeguarding, assessment and court work experience
* Ability to manage complex risk and decision-making
* Child-centred and relationship-based approach to practice
