As a Social Worker within our Learning Disability Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Developing and implementing person-centered support plans that promote independence and well-being.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Providing ongoing support, guidance, and advocacy for clients and their families.
  • Monitoring and reviewing client progress, adjusting support plans as necessary to meet changing needs.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or within a similar field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
