We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Team Manager to join our Family Help Team in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to lead a dynamic team committed to improving the lives of children and families within our community. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work services while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for staff.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Family Help Team, managing complex cases, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring social workers, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating professional development opportunities. Additionally, you will work closely with partner agencies to promote effective multi-agency collaboration and support the implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Proven experience in children’s social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
  • Qualified Social Worker (Social Work Degree or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
