We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Solihull. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for children in care, promoting their welfare and safeguarding their rights.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families to develop tailored care plans. Conducting statutory visits and maintaining regular contact with children in care. Collaborating with other professionals, including educators and health services, to provide holistic support. Preparing and presenting reports for court proceedings and child protection conferences. Supporting foster carers and adoptive families to enhance placement stability.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience working within a Children’s Social Work setting, particularly with children in care. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
