We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Team Manager to join our Intake Team in Hounslow. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support the management of a dynamic team of social workers while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. As an Assistant Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the intake process, assessing referrals, and determining the appropriate responses to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Team Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Intake Team. Supervising and supporting social work staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Conducting assessments and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to referrals. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to promote effective communication and service delivery. Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the team.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification, with current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intake processes. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
