Senior Social Worker - Assessment & Safeguarding Team - Haringey

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment & Safeguarding Team in Haringey. This pivotal role involves providing high-quality social work services to vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will be responsible for leading assessments, managing complex cases, and implementing safeguarding measures in accordance with legislation and best practice guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support families effectively.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have substantial post-qualification experience in child protection and safeguarding, demonstrating strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
