Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding team in Wokingham as a Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, stakeholders, and partner agencies to provide comprehensive support and interventions aimed at improving family dynamics and child safety. Your expertise will be essential in assessing needs, developing care plans, and implementing strategies that foster positive outcomes for vulnerable families.
In this position, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and support needs. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Providing ongoing support, advice, and guidance to families to promote positive change. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding plans. Staying informed of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working in children's services or a similar safeguarding environment. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
