Family Group Conference Practice Manager - Plymouth

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Group Conference Practice Manager to join our team in Plymouth. This pivotal role will oversee the delivery of Family Group Conferences (FGCs) within the Qualified Social Work field, ensuring that families are supported in making informed decisions that promote the well-being of their children. As a Practice Manager, you will lead a team of social workers and practitioners while collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate effective and meaningful family engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Family Group Conference service.
  • Supervising and supporting a team of qualified social workers and practitioners.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and national policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Facilitating training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in family engagement.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with families, social services, and community organizations.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of FGCs and implementing improvements as necessary.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Proven experience in managing social work teams or services.
  • Strong understanding of Family Group Conference principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and manage complex situations.
