The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding and Children in Need (CIN) Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will engage with families, conduct assessments, and develop tailored support plans to meet the diverse needs of children and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.
  • Attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings to ensure coordinated support for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making process.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a children’s safeguarding or CIN setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation and practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
