Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
  • Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure the effectiveness of interventions and support services.
  • Providing guidance and support to families, helping them to access resources and services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this position, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA Hons Social Work, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding is essential, as well as a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are crucial to succeed in this role.
