We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Services team in Hertfordshire. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement effective interventions for children in need of support. Your role will be pivotal in promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children, ensuring they thrive in safe and nurturing environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local authority policies.
- Providing direct support and guidance to children and their families through regular visits and interventions.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
