We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Assistant Practitioner to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team in Oldham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in care. You will work closely with social workers, families, and external agencies to provide high-quality support and intervention for children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assisting social workers in the assessment and planning processes for children in care. Supporting the implementation of care plans and ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard. Building positive relationships with children and families to promote their engagement and participation. Monitoring and recording progress, and providing feedback to the team on individual cases. Collaborating with other professionals to coordinate services and resources for children and families.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A relevant qualification in social work, youth work, or a related field. Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a social care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices, and relevant legislation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
