As a Children’s Social Worker in our Fostering Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary standards.
  • Providing ongoing support, training, and supervision to foster families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for children.
  • Monitoring the progress and well-being of children in foster care, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working within children's services, particularly in fostering or adoption.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
