We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Need (CIN) Team in Devon. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing needs, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to children and families in challenging circumstances.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of casework and assessments in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Working closely with partner agencies to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to safeguarding and supporting children.
  • Participating in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance practice.

Essential qualifications and skills for this position include:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families, particularly in a CIN setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
