Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people? Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) and Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

As a Children's Social Worker in the LAC/CWD Team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care and those with disabilities. Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to ensure effective collaboration and support. Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families. Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children in care and/or children with disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
