We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Care - CIC Team in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.

  • Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring regular reviews and updates on their progress.
  • Working closely with schools, health services, and other agencies to provide holistic support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly within a looked-after children context.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with children and families.
