The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support and intervention for children with disabilities and their families. You will be working within a dynamic team committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring they have the best possible outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and external agencies to ensure a multi-agency approach to care. Providing direct support and guidance to families, helping them navigate available resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous development of team practices and procedures.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
