Southwark's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team is seeking a committed Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic and supportive environment. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans based on individual needs.
- Collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to safeguard children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to case discussions.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in children's social work, particularly within a safeguarding context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
