Join our dynamic team in Newham as a Senior Social Worker in the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are seeking an experienced professional to provide high-quality assessments and interventions for children and families in need. This role offers a competitive rate of £39.04 per hour on an umbrella basis, with the opportunity to make a significant impact in the community.
As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
- Providing expert advice and support to junior staff and students within the team.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Representing the MASH team in court proceedings and safeguarding meetings as required.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
- Proficiency in case management systems and report writing.
