As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Providing expert advice and support to junior staff and students within the team.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Representing the MASH team in court proceedings and safeguarding meetings as required.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and report writing.
