We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Court Team in Wrexham. As a Qualified Social Worker in the CP/Court Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Representing the local authority in court proceedings, providing expert testimony and recommendations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Engaging with multi-agency partners to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Care Wales (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in child protection and court work.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with families and professionals.
