As a Qualified Social Worker in our UASC Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing tailored care plans for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Building trusting relationships with children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to provide holistic support and resources. Advocating for the rights and needs of children within the legal and social care frameworks. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and best practices.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children, particularly in the context of unaccompanied minors or asylum seekers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children from diverse backgrounds.
