Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Redbridge Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team. In this critical role, you will provide essential support and guidance to foster families and children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to create positive outcomes for children and promote best practices in fostering.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and families, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans. Supporting foster carers through training, supervision, and regular visits to ensure the highest standards of care. Conducting home visits and maintaining accurate records to monitor the progress of children in foster care. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including schools, health services, and other social care professionals. Participating in court proceedings, providing expert testimony and reports when necessary.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, preferably within a fostering or adoption setting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Redbridge. As a Children's Social Worker (SSW) in the fostering sector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care. You will be responsible for assessing and supporting foster families, working collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to provide the best outcomes for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster carers to ensure they meet the required standards. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, addressing any challenges they may face. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant agencies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in line with local policies and procedures. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in fostering practices.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
