We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. The role offers a competitive rate of £40 per hour on an Umbrella basis, providing you with the flexibility and support needed to excel in your profession.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties that include:

  • Assessing the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and developing tailored care plans.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to junior staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare.
  • Representing the UASC Team in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience working with children and young people, particularly in the context of asylum-seeking and refugee issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention strategies relevant to child protection and welfare.
