Caritas Recruitment is working in partnership with Bedford Borough Council to recruit two experienced Adult Social Workers for a temporary project-based role within Adult Social Care.
This is a focused, outcome-driven opportunity supporting a council-wide project aimed at increasing independence and reducing reliance on community-based services.

  • Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00)
  • Pay Rate: £31.77 per hour

About the Role

This role sits within a targeted review project, working across Adult Social Care and Newton, with a clear focus on enablement and strength-based practice. The successful candidates will:
  • Complete targeted reviews to assess need and risk
  • Critically analyse current care and support arrangements
  • Apply strength-based and enablement approaches to promote independence
  • Work collaboratively with partners, technology-enabled solutions and community resources
  • Support sustainable, long-term outcomes for adults within the community
This position is ideal for a Social Worker who enjoys review work, analytical practice, and project-focused delivery rather than long-term case holding.

Requirements

  • SWE registration
  • Recent experience within Adult Social Care
  • Strong understanding of strength-based and enablement models
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver to project timescales
