Assistant Team Manager (Deputy Team Manager / Team Leader )- Children with Disabilities (Locum) - Buckinghamshire

Caritas Recruitment is currently partnering with a Local Authority in Buckinghamshire to recruit an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities Team on a locum/agency basis.

Role Details

  • Position: Assistant Team Manager - Children with Disabilities
  • Location: Buckinghamshire
  • Contract Type: Locum / Agency
  • Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Working Arrangement:
    • Minimum 2 days per week office-based
    • Up to 3 days per week working from home

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Team Manager in the operational management of the Children with Disabilities Team
  • Providing reflective supervision and professional support to Social Workers
  • Assisting with case allocation, oversight, and quality assurance
  • Ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with legislation including the Children Act 1989, Children and Families Act 2014, and SEND frameworks
  • Supporting complex cases involving children with additional needs, safeguarding, and multi-agency working
  • Contributing to service development and maintaining high standards of practice

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services, ideally within a Children with Disabilities or SEND team
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, Senior Practitioner, or Assistant Team Manager role
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and multi-disciplinary working
  • Ability to work effectively within a hybrid working model
  • Right to Work in the UK
