Children with disabilities Social Worker | Nottinghamshire

In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide essential support, guidance, and advocacy for children with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and intervention to children and families, ensuring access to necessary services.
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of children with disabilities within various settings.
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
