Applicants must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England, together with substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s social care. Experience of managing or supervising social workers, particularly within a Child in Need, safeguarding or family support setting, is highly desirable. You should have a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks, excellent knowledge of assessment and intervention approaches, and the ability to make sound professional decisions in complex situations.
