As a Qualified Social Worker in the UASC Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs and risks faced by unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and advocacy to ensure the well-being and best interests of children in our care.
- Working closely with partner agencies, including health, education, and legal services, to facilitate access to necessary resources and services.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed case records in line with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly in a social work context.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
