Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Team (C&F) in Stockport as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and support to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as necessary.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA Social Work, MA Social Work, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social work capacity.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
