We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult's Social Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Team in Lewisham. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to adults with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assessing the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and developing care plans tailored to their specific requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, service users, and their families to ensure holistic support.
  • Advocating for the rights and choices of individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling lives.
  • Monitoring and reviewing care plans regularly to assess progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Participating in safeguarding procedures and promoting a safe environment for vulnerable adults.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with adults with learning disabilities within a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and stakeholders.
  • An understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to adult social care and safeguarding.

Additional requirements for this position may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community.
