We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our dynamic team focusing on Children With Disabilities in Birmingham. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in supporting children and their families, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care and support. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions that promote the well-being and development of children with disabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and strengths. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing expert guidance and supervision to junior social workers and support staff, fostering a supportive learning environment. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies. Engaging with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working within children’s services, specifically with children with disabilities. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection and disability services. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
