Are you a passionate and experienced social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families? We are seeking a dedicated Children's Team Manager for our Assessment and Intervention (A&I) Team in Slough. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that prioritize the safety and well-being of vulnerable children. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping practice, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving positive outcomes for children and families in our community.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing supervision and support to enhance their professional development. Overseeing the assessment and intervention processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Collaborating with partner agencies to promote integrated service delivery and effective multi-agency working. Monitoring and evaluating team performance, implementing strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes. Engaging with children and families to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant post-qualification experience in children's social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
