We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Care - Child Protection (CP) Team in Walsall. Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions to safeguard children.
  • Providing expert advice and support to colleagues and other professionals in relation to child protection issues.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience working within children's services, particularly in child protection.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
