We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Social Worker to join our Substance Misuse Team in Newcastle for duty and short-term work. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals struggling with substance misuse issues. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on providing high-quality support and interventions to promote recovery and well-being.

As an Adult Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of individuals’ needs and risks related to substance misuse. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals. Providing crisis intervention and support to individuals in acute situations. Facilitating access to appropriate treatment services and community resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with legislation and organizational policies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker status with a degree in Social Work or equivalent. Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within substance misuse services or a similar field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in adult social care.
