Social Worker - LAC / UASC Team - Worcestershire
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Worcestershire. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of vulnerable children and young people. Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes and provide essential support to those in need.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments of children's needs and risks, developing and implementing care plans.
- Building trusting relationships with children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Working closely with schools, health services, and other agencies to coordinate support and interventions.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local and national policies.
- Participating in regular team meetings and case reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children in care or UASC, ideally within a statutory setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
