We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Worcestershire. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of vulnerable children and young people. Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes and provide essential support to those in need.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments of children's needs and risks, developing and implementing care plans. Building trusting relationships with children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Working closely with schools, health services, and other agencies to coordinate support and interventions. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with local and national policies. Participating in regular team meetings and case reviews to ensure best practices are followed.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children in care or UASC, ideally within a statutory setting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
